We offer groups for a range of ages. Children move through the groups as they grow, building skills, confidence and friendships along the way.
Smiley Carrot Elfins
Our Elfins meet on a Thursday night between 5:30 and 7:00 at the Friends Meeting House. This group typically sees ages of between 6–9* years old. Games, crafts, stories and outdoor activities that encourage curiosity, teamwork and learning through play.
Challenge Pioneers
Our Pioneers meet on a Thursday night between 7:15 and 8:45pm at the Friends Meeting House. This group typically sees ages of between 10–12* years old. More adventurous activities, discussions and projects, with increasing responsibility and decision-making by the group.
Run Baby Venturers
Our Venturers meet on a Thursday night between 7:15 and 8:45pm at the St Mary’s Church. This group has Venturers in the typical age range of 13–15* years old. Young people plan their own activities, take part in camps and trips, and explore social, environmental and global issues.
Banbury DFs
We are planning to grow a new DF (District Fellows) group in 2026 for our young adult members aged 16+. Young adult members who support the movement, volunteer, and take part in social or campaigning activities.
* – These ages are guides only and we a flexible to suit the right group for each young person. Similarly transition between groups is more about when the young person is ready and wanting to progress.
