What is Woodcraft Folk?
Woodcraft Folk is a UK-wide educational movement for children and young people. It is based on co-operation, social justice, peace and respect for the natural world. Young people are encouraged to think for themselves, work together and take an active role in shaping their communities.
Banbury District Woodcraft Folk
Banbury District is part of the wider Woodcraft Folk movement but is run locally by volunteers and families. We provide a welcoming and supportive environment where children and young people can explore ideas, learn new skills and have fun together.
We are inclusive and open to everyone, regardless of background, belief or ability.
Activities & Programme
Our weekly sessions are shaped by the interests of the young people in each group. Activities typically include:
- Games and team challenges
- Arts, crafts and creative projects
- Outdoor play and nature-based activities
- Discussions about fairness, the environment and the wider world
- Local trips, camps and national Woodcraft Folk events
We also take part in residential camps and regional or national gatherings where members meet Woodcraft Folk groups from across the UK.
